A proud day for the villages of Stoney Middleton and Eyam, remembering and commemorating this very important event in our local history.
The long suffering workers took matters into their own hands, demanding fair pay, better working conditions, and recognition of
their trade union – but did it work? The service and exhibition will provide a unique insight into the past. The service will be streamed live into the exhibition marquee in the Churchyard.
Wearing period clothes (even a hat or cap) will add to the atmosphere and is encouraged.
