I have just stood down after 15 years of frontline service as a Police Officer to seek your support to be the next Labour candidate for Police and Crime Commissioner in Derbyshire.

I am a committed Trade Unionist and I have over a decade's experience standing up for colleagues as a workplace rep and as the Chair of my Force's Black Police Association. That is why I am proud to have the support of my union, the GMB, in this selection.

Find out more about me

Reducing anti-social behaviour, tackling domestic abuse and protecting children and the vulnerable will be some of my top priorities. I will safeguard victim support and I will never allow policing in Derbyshire to be privatised and handed over to a company like G4S. Policing for profit will not happen on my watch!

Furthermore, I will fight Tory austerity, stand shoulder to shoulder with local Labour councillors and demand fair funding for our communities. I will be the strong voice our communities need.

Over the next few months, I will be out in every corner of the county meeting members and finding out directly from you about the issues that are affecting your family, friends and communities.

If you would like to contact me to discuss any issues relating to the Police, crime or anti-social behaviour in your area, or if you would like to get involved in my campaign, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

All of my contact details, including my direct personal mobile number, are on my website which the 'contact me' button below will take you directly to.

I look forward to hearing from you and together we can make Derbyshire an even after place to live.
