January Get Together

Crich Parish Update

Planning applications continue to be approved as Amber Valley Borough Council do not have a local plan in place. This enabled property developers to veto the draft plan. Unfortunately much housing is to be built on fields rather than brownfield sites.

Affordable housing is being built but not in Crich. There is a local housing consultation from the parish council which needs to be returned shortly.

Discussions included:

We discussed local campaigning and whether we should hold an occasional day time session as we have a few members who work away in the week.

We are also considering submitting motions on policy making and leadership elections.

Several of us had attended John McDonnell's excellent event in Derby and been inspired by his passion and commitment for the future of our Country.
