Unfortunately, I am unable to attend this evenings meeting however I wanted to comment on these flyers as a contribution to the planning. Both this and the previous flyer are strong attacking pieces which is probably what is required in our constituency. I especially agree with the sentiment in the
second paragraph on the second flyer and the need to avoid this being a debate about leadership. Theresa May clearly cynically planned this election to be a leadership competition between her and Jeremy. She is doing that because the polls have consistently showed it is a winning strategy for her and the results from the local authority vote will be bolstering that in her view.
We must therefore continue to focus on her and the governments record and policies not personalities. To that end, you should drop the first paragraph about demonization as it sounds vaguely North Korean and is overtly defensive also there is no need for the second paragraph as that is admitting to Theresa May’s strategy. Start with the third paragraph and focus on their record and the key message of for the many not the few.
Please remember that the votes needed to win are in the centre so target those voters. Calls to the believers are comforting but not what will win those centre voters.
