Lifelong Tory Activist Quits Party over Osborne Budget and Sabotages Website

The official website of the Conservative Disability Group has been sabotaged by a disabled Tory activist who has quit the party in protest at George Osborne’s budget:


Graeme Ellis, a lifelong Conservative voter who is disabled, told BuzzFeed News he could not remain a member of a party which is reducing disability payments while cutting taxes for high earners:

I’ve always since I was 18 voted Conservative. This afternoon I stopped. I couldn’t have any association with a political party that could send disabled people to the wall. How can they be trying to save money when the figures they’re taking off the disabled match what they’re planning on giving the better-off in the Budget?
