On Wednesday 5th July there will be a stall outside the main entrance of Chesterfield Royal Hospital (Calow) to celebrate the 69th birthday of the NHS.
This is a national birthday celebration day for the NHS backed by various 'Save our NHS' groups and also with support from the TUC. It's not a Labour Party event but most of the people who are involved with the organisation of this in Chesterfield are Labour Party members.
There will be a birthday cake and other goodies. The aim is to support NHS workers at the hospital, and give out information leaflets etc. to the public and staff - about the NHS situation in general and Derbyshire in particular. People will be invited to share their thoughts about 'what the NHS has done for them' and what they want to see for the NHS in the future. Above all it's a celebration of OUR NHS.
Please come along and support this if you can.
