Dawn was born in Wirksworth and has a deep rooted connection with OUR local community. She has served on Middleton Parish Council since the late 1990’s and has been a District Councillor since 2019 – she is passionate at representing her constituents and always works hard to resolve local issues – having a deep understanding to the needs of OUR community. She has worked at Anthony Gell School as a teaching assistant for almost 20 years
In the 2021 bye election, I was elected as a Labour Councillor for the Wirksworth Ward, covering Wirksworth, Bolehill and Middleton. The villages of Carsington and Hopton now join Wirksworth, Bolehill and Middleton in the newly extended ward – should I be re-elected, I look forward to continuing to provide a strong and effective voice for all the residents of this part of the Derbyshire Dales.
I am very passionate about helping residents to resolve problems, and I always take time to listen to what people have to say.
