Born in London, I've lived in Hathersage since 1994.
I worked in Adult Community Education in Derbyshire for 18 years, based at Hope Valley College.
I joined the Labour Party in 2010, having been an active trade unionist and campaigner for many years.
I helped set up the Northern Dales branch in 2014 and was Chair for 3 years.
I have been involved in a local history project over the last 4 years, engaging the local community in commemorations of the boot and shoemakers strike in Eyam and Stoney Middleton in 1918-20.
